If you can’t find any Fallout 76 fusion cores, you can still craft them at a chemistry station. Fallout 76 Fusion Cores – How to Craft Them They may not always contain a fusion core, but that’s just because someone got their before you if you hang around for a while, another fusion core will spawn, so just take five and check back in a little while. They aren’t just located next to power armor frames, either, and can be found in loot stashes on occasion. fusion generators can be found throughout the world on their own, too. However, these cores will only be charged to half of their capacity still, better half a core than no cores. On top of this, suits of power armor themselves will have a fusion core embedded in them. Fallout 76 Fusion Cores – Where to Find Themįallout 76 fusion cores can be found in many locations across Appalachia, but barely any of them are safe.įor instance, every single power armor frame will usually be found next to a fusion generator, which will contain a fusion core. Here’s a guide on where to find Fallout 76 fusion cores so that you can take that set of power armor sitting in your stash box and brave the vast expanses of post-apocalyptic Appalachia. However, they’re not easy to come by and because of their rarity, zones with fusion cores can be highly contested by hostile enemies. Used to power some of the most devastating weapons in the game, fusion cores in Fallout 76are something that every Lone Wanderer should seek to stock up on. Do your research, plan your build, do some crafting, do some shopping and then go have fun with it.Fallout 76 fusion cores are an incredibly valuable resource. The most important thing is that you have fun while playing. Then the most important thing, not everything in the game is a dps race. Which also works another way that you do not need to invest in power armor perks. A set of five pieces for -75% damage reduction out performs power armor.Īlso as Arcanix pointed out you can gain quite a few perks not available to people in power armor. Power armor has more damage resistance, but if your armor is all focused on a mob type, like troubleshooter, sentinel, mutant slayer, etc the you take less damage out of power armor than in power armor. If you are using VATS for for your heavy weapons then you are putting a limit on your DPS in the first place since VATS consumes AP. No stabilized also means less accuracy, but if ya aint using VATS then accuracy does not even matter. No stabilized means you lose out on armor penetration, but with the increase for bloody or junkie can easily make that difference up. People keep saying all these advantages and disadvantages but they seem to forget some of the alternatives out there. There is loads of builds that do not use power armor. Why people keep dragging this into a power armor versus no power armor discussion is irrelevant. I see people not in power armor using heavy weapons all the time. Lots of perk points need to be sunk into defensive options for some builds Time sink in trying to get the right armor and affixesĬan be expensive to repair if you have certain armors Lots of defensive options that are really powerful (like Serendipity)ĭamage resistance (unless you have maxed out legendary armor) Legendary affixes available that make armors like Heavy Combat armor only slightly less protection than most PA Gets bonuses from just about every perk/affix/mutation that involves speed Slow (can't get boosts from speed demon, etc)Įxpensive to repair (especially if you're using T-65 or Strangleheart)Įxtra damage from stealth (up to 3.2x at night with silenced weapons IIRC) Some pros and cons (assuming a non-melee build):ĭamage resistance (you'll need it since stealth perks do not work in PA)Įasy to put together and easy to find cores The only time you really want to try to do non-PA builds are if you're going to be taking advantage of the massive extra damage that stealth builds give over PA builds. If you find the right armor, you can use heavy weapons without PA. Since you would be omitting power armor perk cards, what benefits would you lose, and in turn what benefits would you gain by putting other perk cards in their place?
